The KAKURU chain is designed and handcrafted from the very beginning to coincide with the organic lines and characteristic forms of our jewelry. Made by the “hands” of the maker, the pieces are soldered, sawed, and shaped without the use of manufacturing machinery. Attention to detail is important! It takes a significant amount of time to produce just a single piece of KAKURU chain.
This piece of KAKURU jewelry is made of 925 Sterling Silver. We plate our silver jewelry to prevent oxidization and give it a color shade. We use rhodium and black rhodium for white and black color. We use a thick layer of 21-24k gold or 18k rose gold to plate silver jewelry, to give it extra durability and shine.
Before placing your order, need to know that all the stones are hand cut and shaped based on our designs. Stones are opaque and cut as cabochons. Subsequently, the shapes and inclusions (the materials that are trapped within a stone during its formation) can vary greatly from stone to stone.
Additionally, each piece of olive wood is handcrafted from different pieces of olive wood, resulting in unique wood grain patterns with some variation in color and size! With that in mind, please note the jewelry received will differ from the picture on display! The olive wood used to create this piece is ethically sourced from the city of Sparta, located in the region of Laconia, in southern Greece. Sustainable olive wood comes from olive trees that no longer produce fruit and are continuously replaced.
Plated jewelry will eventually tarnish and its plating will gradually fade. Make sure you remove all pieces of plated jewelry before showering, applying lotion and hand sanitizer, make-up, hairspray, perfume and before any sports activity.
If the olive wood gets wet, let it dry naturally.
Stones do not enjoy water or chemicals either. They will be easily damaged or broken if the jewelry fall down. Store each piece of jewelry separately to avoid any scratches or cuts.
